Pablo Delcan created three chairs primarily as objects of contemplation, an idea inspired by his interview with Frosty Myers. During the past summer, for the inaugural issue of Litt Magazine, Delcan had the opportunity to interview Myers, a visionary in the field of sculpture who has redefined the genre. Myers' recent exhibition at Catskill Art Space was exceptional. In their conversation, when asked about his furniture pieces, specifically about the essential qualities of a chair, Myers replied, "A chair doesn’t have to be anything. Some of my best chairs are meant to be thought about — not sat in." This concept resonated deeply with Delcan and was likely the catalyst for the creation of these three pieces.
